5 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking & Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or airport in Entebbe or Kampala. Drive westwards through beautiful countryside landscapes, local villages, and tea plantations towards Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Arrive in the evening and check into your lodge for relaxation.

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive in the Kasenyi plains, one of the park’s best wildlife viewing areas. Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, Uganda kobs, and warthogs.

After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. The channel is famous for its large concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles.

You will also spot elephants, buffaloes, and many bird species along the shores.

After breakfast, depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the southern Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park.

This area is famous for its rare tree-climbing lions often seen resting in fig trees. Enjoy a game drive as you search for these unique predators before continuing to Bwindi.

Arrive in the evening and prepare for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing. You will then head into the rainforest with experienced ranger guides in search of a habituated gorilla family.

The trek can take between 2–6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. Once found, you will spend one magical hour observing them as they feed, play, and interact in their natural environment.

This is one of the most unforgettable wildlife experiences in Africa.

In the afternoon, you may choose to relax at the lodge or enjoy an optional Batwa cultural experience.
