7 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Wildlife & Chimpanzee Safari (Entebbe to Entebbe)

Your safari guide will meet you at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for an early morning departure to southwestern Uganda.

Drive through beautiful countryside, passing local villages, rolling hills, and farmlands. Stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs and lunch before continuing through Mbarara and Kabale to Bwindi.

Arrive in the evening and check into your lodge.

After breakfast, report to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing before beginning your gorilla trekking adventure.

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, hike through the rainforest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may last between 2 and 8 hours depending on the gorillas' location.

Once found, spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.

In the afternoon, visit the Batwa community or another nearby local community to learn about traditional culture, music, dance, and forest life.

After breakfast, drive through the scenic Ishasha Sector.

Enjoy a game drive while searching for the famous tree-climbing lions before continuing to the northern sector of the park.

In the evening, enjoy another game drive across the Kasenyi Plains in search of elephants, buffaloes, lions, hyenas, warthogs, and antelopes.

Wake up early for a morning game drive, one of the best times to spot wildlife.

After lunch, enjoy an unforgettable boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, home to one of Africa's highest concentrations of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and hundreds of bird species.

Return to the lodge for dinner.

After breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest National Park.

Arrive in the afternoon and visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area famous for monkeys, birds, butterflies, and rich cultural experiences.

Meet local residents, learn about traditional livelihoods, and support sustainable tourism initiatives.

Accommodation: Kibale Forest National Park / Fort Portal

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering Kibale Forest in search of wild chimpanzees.

Besides chimpanzees, Kibale is home to 13 species of primates including black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, and olive baboons.

After the trek, return to the lodge for a relaxing afternoon surrounded by the peaceful forest environment.

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe.

Drive through western Uganda's scenic tea plantations and rolling hills. Stop for lunch and another visit to the Uganda Equator for shopping and photographs before continuing to Entebbe.

Arrive in the late afternoon or evening for drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport.
