5 Days Gorilla Trekking & Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari (Starting from Kigali – Ending in Entebbe)

Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport or pick-up from your hotel in Kigali, you will meet your professional safari guide for a briefing before departing for Uganda.

Drive through Rwanda's picturesque countryside, known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills," before crossing the border into Uganda through either the Cyanika or Katuna border post.

Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, enjoying spectacular views of terraced hillsides, forests, and local villages along the way.

Arrive at your lodge in the evening, where you can relax and prepare for the next day's gorilla trekking adventure.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority park headquarters for a briefing by experienced ranger guides.

Enter the ancient rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Depending on the gorillas' location, the trek may last between 2 and 8 hours.

Once you find the gorillas, you will spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, groom, and interact in their natural habitat. This extraordinary encounter is one of Africa's greatest wildlife experiences.

After returning to the lodge for lunch, enjoy an afternoon cultural experience with the Batwa people or visit a nearby local community. Learn about their traditions, music, dance, and way of life while supporting community-based tourism.

Following breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive through the scenic Ishasha Sector, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a game drive through Ishasha while searching for lions resting in fig trees, as well as elephants, buffaloes, topis, and Uganda kobs.

Continue to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park and embark on an evening game drive. As the day cools, wildlife becomes more active, offering excellent opportunities to spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, and other wildlife.

Rise early for a morning game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, one of the park's richest wildlife habitats.

Return to the lodge for lunch before heading to the famous Kazinga Channel for an unforgettable afternoon boat cruise.

The Kazinga Channel links Lake George and Lake Edward and boasts one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa. You will also encounter Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, monitor lizards, and an incredible variety of birdlife, making it a paradise for photographers and birdwatchers.

Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out and begin the scenic drive back to Entebbe.

Travel through western Uganda, passing tea estates, rolling hills, local villages, and lush countryside. Stop at the Uganda Equator for lunch, photographs, and souvenir shopping before continuing to Entebbe.

Arrive in the late afternoon or evening for drop-off at Entebbe International Airport or your hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
