6 Days Uganda Gorilla Trekking, Queen Elizabeth & Kibale Safari (Entebbe to Entebbe)

Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or Entebbe International Airport by your professional safari guide.

Drive southwest through Uganda's beautiful countryside, passing vibrant towns, rolling hills, traditional villages, and lush farmlands. Stop at the Uganda Equator crossing for photographs and a chance to purchase souvenirs before continuing your journey.

Enjoy lunch en route before driving through the scenic Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa," due to their spectacular terraced hills.

Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the evening and check into your lodge for relaxation.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines.

Accompanied by experienced ranger guides, enter the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek may last between 2 and 8 hours depending on the gorillas' movements.

Once you locate the gorillas, spend one unforgettable hour observing their behavior, photography, and learning about their conservation.

After lunch and some relaxation at the lodge, enjoy an afternoon community experience. You may visit the Batwa community or a nearby local village to learn about traditional lifestyles, music, dance, and handicrafts.

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park via the scenic Ishasha Sector.

Keep an eye out for the park's famous tree-climbing lions resting in large fig trees, as well as elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes.

Continue to the northern sector of the park and enjoy an evening game drive across the Kasenyi Plains, where wildlife becomes more active as temperatures cool.

Look out for lions, elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, and numerous antelope species.

Wake up early for another exciting morning game drive in the Kasenyi Plains.

This is one of the best times to search for predators such as lions and leopards while also spotting elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, and numerous bird species.

Return to the lodge for lunch before heading to the famous Kazinga Channel for a relaxing afternoon boat cruise.

The Kazinga Channel links Lake George and Lake Edward and is renowned for having one of Africa's highest concentrations of hippos. Along the shoreline, you'll also see crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, monitor lizards, and hundreds of water birds.

Return to the lodge in the evening.

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive to Kibale Forest National Park, passing crater lakes, tea plantations, and picturesque villages.

Upon arrival, proceed directly to the park headquarters for an afternoon chimpanzee trekking briefing before entering the forest with experienced ranger guides.

Kibale Forest is home to over 1,500 chimpanzees and 13 species of primates. Besides chimpanzees, you may also encounter black-and-white colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, olive baboons, and numerous bird species.

After your trek, check into your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Entebbe.

Travel through western Uganda's scenic tea estates, traditional villages, and rolling hills. Stop for lunch en route before continuing to the Uganda Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping if desired.

Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon or evening for drop-off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
